CORGHI INTRODUCES KDS 3D TOP BMW
A new frontier of BMW-approved wheel alignment
Corghi – a leading global reference in workshop equipment – has announced the launch of the new KDS 3D TOP BMW, a wheel alignment system officially approved according to BMW standards.
The Nexion Group says this important milestone confirms Corghi’s ability to develop advanced technological solutions capable of meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of premium OEMs, while “also representing a tangible recognition of the quality, precision, and reliability that have always defined the Corghi offering.”
Corghi explains the new KDS 3D TOP BMW has been developed with the goal of redefining benchmarks in the wheel alignment segment, positioning itself as a comprehensive solution for workshops working on next-generation vehicles, where the highest levels of measurement accuracy and consistency are essential.
At the core of the system lies an advanced technological architecture integrating four high-resolution digital cameras for machine vision, designed to ensure maximum precision in detecting the vehicle’s geometric parameters.
Corghi explains the use of advanced image processing technologies also enables reliable and repeatable measurements even under challenging environmental conditions.
These are complemented by advanced functions designed to improve operational efficiency and streamline workshop procedures.
The automatic target tracking function allows the measuring beam to follow the targets automatically during lift movements, positioning itself at the correct height without any manual intervention, with Corghi noting this feature speeds up operations and contributes to increased workshop productivity.
Additional advanced capabilities include continuous chassis height measurement through dedicated lightweight high-resolution mini-targets, measurement of maximum steering angle using dedicated targets, and steering wheel inclination measurement via an electronic inclinometer with wireless transmission.
The system is also equipped with the dedicated EXACT TOP BMW software, developed to provide a modern, intuitive and highly functional graphical interface, supported by updated calculation algorithms and a comprehensive international technical database.
Corghi explains this combination enables operators to work faster and more accurately, enhancing process control and simplifying data interpretation.
From a design perspective, the KDS 3D TOP BMW also stands out for its strong focus on ergonomics and usability.
The system configuration and workstation design have been carefully developed to improve operator comfort and support technicians throughout every stage of the alignment process, contributing to a smoother and more efficient workflow.
Thanks to these features, Corghi states its new wheel aligner is not only fully compliant with OEM standards, but also a solution capable of delivering tangible value for workshops, helping them provide higher-quality services and confidently address the challenges of modern mobility.
The BMW approval is said to represent a strategic milestone, demonstrating Corghi and Nexion Group’s ability to collaborate with leading global manufacturers and to develop technologies aligned with their technical specifications and high-quality standards.
This achievement is the result of a collaborative effort involving multiple company functions – from engineering to product management and commercial teams – working in synergy to transform an ambitious goal into a concrete solution ready to meet market demands.
With the launch of the KDS 3D TOP BMW, Corghi says it takes another step forward in its innovation journey, strengthening its position as a key technology partner for professionals in the automotive aftermarket.
