A 17-member international jury of experts selected the winners from a total of 185 entries, with 47 having made it through to the final round

The winners of the Automechanika Innovation Awards were honoured at a gala awards ceremony on the first day of the Automechanika Frankfurt trade fair.
“An idea becomes an innovation when it makes a difference in practice: when it improves processes, conserves resources, opens up new possibilities or solves a specific problem,” says Michael Johannes, Brand Manager Automechanika at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH.
“The entries impressively demonstrate how actively the industry is shaping change – with solutions for workshops, the retail sector, industry and the mobility of tomorrow.
“Particularly in times of transformation, it is all the more important to give these innovations visibility and to connect the industry’s key players.”
The award-winning products address key themes in the automotive aftermarket: artificial intelligence, digitalisation, electromobility, and sustainable and cost-effective repair and remanufacturing concepts.
Among the winners were an autonomous vehicle inspection robot, an AI-supported diagnostic assistant and a digital system for the return and evaluation of used parts.
Solutions aimed at extending product life cycles and reducing resource consumption also impressed the jury – such as a reconditioning process for electric drive motors and a particularly durable brake disc for the aftermarket.
The Green Award is a special prize awarded by the jury for particularly sustainable innovations. This year, Autocraft has been honoured for its “Autocraft REVIVE EV Battery Workshops.”
The concept enables the repair and reconditioning of high-voltage batteries and demonstrates how resources can be conserved, emissions reduced and sustainable solutions implemented at scale in the aftermarket.
