A great automotive partnership in Ipswich, Queensland

Lisa McClure, Destry Rule (Bosch representative) and Andrew McClure

Andrew McClure Mechanical, now a member of the Bosch Car Service Network, has stepped up its service offering.
As the Bosch Network member in the Ipswich region, Andrew McClure has upgraded to the latest technology, ranging from computer scanning to engine management diagnostic equipment.
“Partnering with Bosch ensures our workshop is using the best possible parts and technology, recognised globally,” Andrew McClure said.
Previously, as an independent workshop Andrew McClure Mechanical could not offer a nationwide warranty to their customers.
“Being part of the group adds many benefits and being able to offer a nationwide warranty is one of the most important customer added values on top of our expert diagnostics, service and repairs.”
Bosch maintain a high calibre of network members, ensuring all technicians are qualified automotive mechanics and undertake regular, ongoing training in new technologies. This year, Bosch added two new technical training courses being “Hybrid & Electric Vehicles” and an updated “Vehicle Braking Systems” to the program.
“The technology in cars today is quite advanced particularly in European models, so we aspire to complete the worldwide recognised Bosch Diagnostic Technician Certification program and join the elite graduates from the most advanced technical training possible in Australia,” Andrew said.
With 32 years’ experience in the motor industry and 17 years in business, Andrew and Lisa McClure are said to offer only the highest quality workmanship and customer care. Today, the team of five which includes three fully qualified mechanics, Lisa the office manager and a young apprentice who is learning on the job continue thriving under the banner of “Bosch Car Service”.
“So far, we’ve had an amazing experience being part of the network,” Lisa McClure said.
“The Bosch team go out of their way to aid us in marketing our business and informing us of industry updates. We’ve participated in the ‘Yes, we can service your brand-new car at Bosch Car Service’ national consumer campaign and this has helped reach out to a whole new group of customers which would not normally consider switching to an independent workshop.
“The brand is familiar to people and is known for quality. It’s good to be able to leverage off this.”
“The annual fee is the most competitive in the industry compared to other workshop concepts and it isn’t based on a percentage of our turnover. This gives our business the freedom to grow in the future. Most importantly we now enjoy the added benefit of various rebates as part of a growing network of over 320 workshops.”
