Auto One Scone is the network’s newest store

The Auto One group has recently expanded its network of stores with the acquisition of Scone Auto Parts in the Hunter Region of New South Wales.
Scone Auto Parts has been in operation for more than 30 years and the sale of the business is the culmination of a lifetime of hard work and commitment for owners Paul and Elizabeth Smart.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our group and continues the application of our strategy to grow our network with both corporate and franchise owned stores,” Auto One Managing Director, Andrew Boath, said.
“We are committed to providing a successful outcome for members should they choose to exit their business or move into retirement – we are very pleased with the outcome, as are Paul and Elizabeth.”
Scone Auto Parts has been a valued member of the A1 Autoparts group for many years and becomes the second A1 acquisition for the group, following the successful purchase of the nearby Singleton store in 2018.
“The store will immediately transition to the Auto One brand to access a larger and more expanded marketing platform to facilitate further growth,” Store Operations Manager, Cassandra Towill, said.
“The proximity of the Singleton and Scone stores will provide us with some important synergies to improve our level of service to the Upper Hunter area.”
The store is located on busy Kelly street, has a large local retail customer base and services a wide range of agricultural and equine businesses.
Auto One says it will invest in expanding the retail merchandise at the store to further grow the retail business and has already implemented the Auto One Pronto ERP system which is providing a new level of operational efficiency at the store.
