ARB CELEBRATING 50TH ANNIVERSARY WITH EPIC TOUR

Across 2025, ARB is embarking on five trips in Australia, and four internationally, to some truly iconic locations

The story of ARB began in 1975 when company founder Anthony Ronald Brown (ARB) identified the need for more durable off road accessories after a rugged trip to Cape York, Australia.
In 2025, ARB 4×4 Accessories proudly marks its 50th anniversary, celebrating five decades of engineering excellence, off road innovation, and enabling adventure.
In doing so, it is hitting the tracks. It has built what it describes as an incredible chopped, stretched 300 Series complete with MITS Alloy canopy and all the ARB gear.
With the car and an ARB Earth Camper wrapped in its 50 year decals, accompanied by an ‘Era Car’ along for the Australian trips to highlight various decades’ of ARB’s history, the company has now set out to explore.
To kick things off, ARB started in its very own backyard, tackling the Victorian High Country with the 300 joined by a true off road icon: the Toyota LandCruiser 40 Series.
From steep ascents to rocky creek crossings, this rig tackled it all, fitted with a full suite of ARB gear, including ARB’s legendary Air Lockers.
The team took on some of the toughest tracks in the High Country, pushing both vehicle and gear to their limits through rugged terrain, deep water, and brutal climbs.
Next up was South Australia’s Flinders Ranges, with the team heading from Adelaide to spend four days hitting some intense off road tracks on some of the local stations, taking in the incredible sights at Razorback lookout and Brachina Gorge and indulging in some local hospitality at the Prairie Hotel.

While ARB of course had a great team, and the big 300 on the trip, a special mention also has to go to the Sandy 60 who joined them on this trip to celebrate the decade that was ‘85 – ‘95.
All the guests had a go behind the wheel and what a refreshing drive without the creature comforts of the more modern vehicles.
The third Australian trip took the team to Cape York – possibly the most talked about 4×4 location in Australia.
ARB ventured up to Cairns to pick up the cars and immediately were welcomed into the incredible landscapes like the Daintree Rainforest.
Along the way the team crossed countless rivers, conquered the Old Telegraph Track and then made it to the tip for the must-have photo with the sign signalling they had reached the very tip of mainland Australia.
The 300 was joined by two vehicles built specifically for this trip – celebrating ‘95 – ‘05 were the TJ Wrangler and the 100 series which ARB reports were not without their fair share of drama, but absolutely added to the whole experience.
