The Association of Australasian Diesel Specialists (AADS) was founded in 1974 with the intent of bringing together this specific industry to network and help each other for the benefit of the industry.
The Association includes Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
AADS explains that each of the States have their own branch meetings a couple of times each year, with all coming together for the National Convention every twelve months.
Last year’s convention – which like the state meetings also included technical training opportunities – was held on the Gold Coast in Queensland and AADS reports this was very successful.
Plans were in place for the 2020 convention to be held in Hobart in Tasmania, however this has now been postponed to June 2021. New Zealand also holds its own convention annually in September.

Membership of AADS is divided into three main categories:
1. Service Member.
2. Manufacturer, Marketing and Distribution.
3. Affiliate Member.
