AUTO ONE GROUP CELEBRATES 35 YEARS

The group’s National Conference provided a glittering occasion to mark the milestone

National automotive parts reseller Auto One Group, which operates the Auto One and A1 Autoparts brands, has just returned from a successful National Conference held in Perth.
“The National Conference is an important event for the Auto One Group, as our group is built on the comradery of the membership and developing a close working relationship with our supplier partners,” Auto One Group Managing Director, Mark Garwood, said.
“The Conference is such an important event for our members to further develop these connections each year.
“And this year we celebrated our 35th year of business, which is a great achievement from our humble beginnings in Sydney.
“Today Auto One is Australia’s largest independently owned and operated automotive parts and accessories company, bringing our renowned expert advice and great service to our loyal customers, who have supported us through these 35 years.
“Plus, as a group we raised $35,000 for our charity partner of choice, the Black Dog Institute.”
The conference agenda combined a series of business sessions with a trade show that was supported by 46 supplier partners offering a range of attractive deals to Group Members over the three days.
Store and Supplier Partner Awards were also presented during a Gala Dinner.
“Congratulations to all the award winners, including Auto One Albany and Auto One Clovercrest, winners of the Auto One Store of the Year award in their respective categories,” Mark said.
“Congratulations also go to A1 Autoparts Warners Bay who took away the A1 Autoparts Store of the Year.”
Wesfil Australia was acknowledged as the National Supplier Partner of the Year.
“One of the highlights of this Conference was the induction of Jeff Peek from Auto One Midland onto the Auto One Honour Roll,” Mark said.
“This recognition is awarded to a person who has provided a working lifetime of service and influence to the growth of the group.
“Jeff began his automotive journey in 1990, before joining the Auto One group in 1992 and for the next 30 years, Jeff has played an integral part of the growth of Auto One.
“We thank Jeff for all his hard work, leadership and service to the Group across a lifetime of contribution.”
