Lovells delivers capability upgrades for RAM DT 1500

Australian-owned and operated Lovells Automotive Systems, a global leader in premium suspension and towing solutions, has released a new range of Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) upgrades for the RAM DT 1500 Bighorn and Laramie models which boost the vehicle’s load carrying capabilities, while making it safer to drive.
The upgrades increase the vehicle’s Gross Combination Mass (GCM) by up to 237kg and Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) by between 250kg and 500kg, depending on the selected package.
These three market-leading solutions are engineered to meet the growing demand for greater load capacity across both commercial and recreational applications.
The Lovells GVM upgrades allow RAM DT 1500 owners to legally and safely carry greater payloads while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
Designed and manufactured in Australia, these upgrades are ideal for trades, fleet operators, towing enthusiasts, and travellers who demand more from their vehicles.
In addition to increased GVM ratings, the Touring and Platinum kits feature an Improved Gross Combination Mass (GCM) revision to 7950kg (subject to state-based approvals), providing operators with even greater flexibility for towing and hauling.
Available kits include:
• 3700kg Comfort GVM Upgrade: Lovells heavy-duty front and rear coil springs paired with twin-tube gas legend shocks.
• 3950kg Touring GVM Upgrade: Lovells heavy-duty front and rear coil springs paired with twin-tube gas legend shocks.
• 3950kg Platinum GVM Upgrade: Lovells heavy-duty front and rear coil springs paired with eight-step, adjustable monotube remote reservoir shocks.
Each upgrade has undergone rigorous local testing and certification, ensuring full compliance with federal (pre registration) and state-based (post-registration) requirements.
