BURSON AUTO PARTS COMES TO THE RESCUE

The company gets behind Victoria’s Nyora Speedway in its time of need

Every Burson Auto Parts store across the country has a special commitment to its local community.
The company’s Pakenham (Victoria) store recently played an integral role in assisting a local community group that had suffered a sudden and unexpected setback.
A very popular local Sprintcar racing venue, Victoria’s Nyora Speedway has a history dating back to 1960, starting out as a safe place for local teenagers to drive beat-up old paddock cars, growing to become one of the largest Speedway organisations in Victoria.
Nyora Speedway has a growing membership of more than 150 dirt racing enthusiasts competing in VSC Open Standard Saloons, VSC Ladies Standard Saloons, VSC Junior Standard Saloons, SSA Junior Sedans, VSC Sports Sedans and Vic Mini Sprints club categories, hosting more than ten race events each year.
The regional venue also runs exciting speedway races for Modified Production Sedans, Street Stocks, V8 Dirt Modifieds and on occasion SDAV Hot Rods along with Crash n’ Bash/Demolition Derby events.
The Burson Auto Parts Pakenham store has been a long term sponsor of Nyora Speedway joining several other local businesses that support this family orientated venue and club to cover its operating and maintenance costs.
A break-in over the Christmas break saw Nyora Speedway lose more than $15,000 worth of essential tools and equipment.
This is where the Burson Auto Parts/BAPCOR “We Give a Damn” value pillar became a reality, with the Pakenham store team organising quality replacement Milwaukee tools and equipment to ensure the Speedway’s continued operation.
This significantly eased the financial impact of the break-in for this not for profit local Speedway racing venue and club, assisting them when they needed it most.
“On behalf of the Nyora committee and members we would like to thank you for your continued support of our complex over the years,” Nyora Speedway Club President, Marcus Reddecliffe, said.
“We all appreciate your kind donations. Without support from local businesses like Burson Auto Parts we would be in trouble and with our last break-in you were there to help us out once again.”
In the famed Aussie spirit of supporting your mates, Burson Auto Parts says it proudly supports the local communities of its national store network.
