For the Landcruiser 79 Series

CalOffroad has developed the Platinum Series Bilstein Landcruiser 79 Series front and rear shocks and steering damper, creating what it calls the most advanced and smoothest riding shocks suited for two to three inches of lift.
CalOffroad says the release follows more than 15 months of R&D with Bilstein’s head engineers to create “the most advanced Bilstein shocks and damper on the market for the Landcruiser 70 series platform.”
“These CalOffroad Platinum Series Bilstein front and rear shocks are not a rebranded Bilstein product from some other model car,” CalOffroad Director, Callum Goodman, said.
“These are purpose built from Bilstein Germany to meet the stringent quality requirements for CalOffroad to make your Landcruiser look and ride the way you want while being the most reliable for on and off-road driving.
“Using our 30 plus years of experience allows us to bring you the best components to create the CalOffroad ‘Smoothest Ride on Earth.’”
CalOffroad Platinum Series Bilstein front and rear shocks feature proprietary valving and IFP (internal floating piston technology).
“This IFP separates the high pressure nitrogen gas from the oil eliminating shock fade and oil foaming,” Callum said.
“Other features include a rotating crush tube on the top studs which help eliminate bush failure in tough terrain and integrated external bump stops made of alloy for the most reliable set up on our outback extreme terrain.”
CalOffroad Platinum Series Bilstein struts and shocks are designed in Australia and made in Bilstein’s Germany factory. They are available from all CalOffroad suppliers and wholesale enquiries are welcome.
CalOffroad explains it has strong roots in the off-road market which began in the early 80s, spending time in the USA with industry leaders building the latest in vehicle design and off-road suspension technology and testing off-road designs in Moab Utah and Colorado.
CalOffroad says it has a family history of covering most of Australia’s remote and outback destinations.
“We have our own off-road testing facility that we use to refine and develop products. This combined experience allows us to create the most advanced four-wheel drive suspension components available in Australia and anywhere in the world,” Callum said.
“With over 30 years of 4×4 and suspension development, this has helped us bring the most advanced technology into our suspension range.”
