CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN THE AFTERMARKET

The Repco Authorised Service network has had a lot to celebrate

Late in 2022, the Repco Authorised Service (RAS) network came together in Melbourne for their Annual Convention which coincided with and included the Repco 100 centenary celebrations.
Held over four action packed days and with a common theme centred around evolution in the industry, RAS workshop owners were immersed in a range of informative business sessions and networking functions, an incredible Gala dinner, a huge supplier trade show and a business support services expo.
On the Saturday evening, a glittering ceremony was held at the prestigious Crown Casino to recognise the 2022 RAS achievement award winners:
• Service Centre of the Year – Auto Care Ocean Grove (Victoria)
• Outstanding Customer Service Award – Towers Automotive (Queensland)
• Outstanding Staff Development Award – Boundary Street Automotive (Queensland)
• Outstanding Business Improvement Award – Crossroads Mechanical (Western Australia)
• Spirit of RAS Award – Mark Crane from Marjac Automotive (Queensland)
• Hall of Fame Inductees – Trevor Whatley and Terry Richardson
Speaking after the ceremony, RAS National Manager, Peter Rogers, said he believes the RAS awards help to encourage high standards and stimulate investment in the industry.
“It was a sheer delight to award these deserving recipients in such prestigious surroundings, and it points to a bright future that our members continue to invest in their businesses and their teams,” Peter said.
“Our awards are a celebration of excellence, but they also cast a spotlight on a very important aspect of RAS, and that’s the way in which our members continually drive each other to higher standards of operation and customer service.
“This peer-to-peer encouragement is an extremely powerful motivator which is not only great for our members, but also for the industry.”

During the event, 30-year members Autofix Mechanical Repairs (Kelmscott WA), Manningham Automotive (Bulleen VIC), Uphill Automotive (Tamworth NSW), Windsor Automotive (Bathurst NSW) and Woodward’s Automotive Repairs (Wangaratta VIC) were all honoured on stage for reaching the significant milestone.
“Thirty years ago, a small group of workshop owners had the courage to align their business with Repco and join a fledgling program with the vision for a mutually beneficial partnership – and today Repco Authorised Service has grown to over 550 workshops and is the largest independent service network in Australia,” Peter said.
“These five members epitomise our network ideals of family owned, community minded businesses who continue to evolve and I look forward to seeing where the next 30 years takes them.”
