CELEBRATING OUR WINS AND LOOKING AHEAD TOGETHER
It has been a massive couple of months at Capricorn, says Group CEO, Brad Gannon

I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together. We’ve launched two State of the Nation reports, celebrated our first-ever Rising Stars Region Winners, announced record-breaking Member Returns, and welcomed a new Director to the Board post our AGM.
Last month, I had the pleasure of catching up with our New Zealand Community at the launch of the New Zealand State of the Nation report as well as at our Gala Dinner and Trade Show in Auckland.
Like Australia, the New Zealand automotive industry also face challenges. The good news is that their skills shortage is starting to ease. However, the biggest hurdle remains achieving a healthy work-life balance, something many Members are working hard to get right.
One of the highlights this year has been delivering a record $100 million in Member Returns, the most in Capricorn’s history. These returns included a $20 million Trade Rebate, a seven cent dividend per share (fully franked in Australia, partially franked in New Zealand), and millions of Rewards Points earned throughout the year all from choosing to trade with our Preferred Supplier community. Being the owners of Capricorn, we do it all for our Members and in doing so provide great benefit to our Preferred Supplier community.
We also expanded our Rising Stars Apprentice of the Year Award to include Region Winners, and it has been inspiring to meet these talented apprentices at our Gala Dinners. They’re passionate, driven, and remind us why investing in the next generation matters. Take a look at the Capricorn website or social media pages to meet the winners and hear their stories.
Finally, a big congratulations to Lydia Stjepanovic on her re-election to the Capricorn Board and a warm welcome to Anthony Shaw, who has joined the Capricorn Board as the new Victoria and Tasmania Member Director.
