CENTURY EXPANDS DUAL FORCE+ MULTI-PURPOSE AGM RANGE
Two new models have been added to the range of multi-purpose starting and semi cycling AGM batteries
Following the successful launch of its Dual Force+ battery last year, leading battery manufacturer and supplier Century Batteries has expanded the range with the introduction of two new models to cater for growing consumer demand.
Built strong for Australia’s harsh environment and tough operating conditions, Century Dual Force+ now features three models and is a range of multi-purpose starting and semi cycling AGM batteries designed to provide superior deep cycling performance and dependable starting power in both recreational and commercial applications.
In 14 years with Century Yuasa, National Marketing Manager Andrew Bottoms has overseen the launch of many batteries, but even he says this range offers everything you could want from an AGM.
“It delivers on everything our customers have asked for – an AGM starting and cycling battery with under bonnet fitment capabilities and the Dual Force+ delivers,” Andrew said.
“From 4x4s, recreational vehicles, marine systems and dual-battery systems: these batteries have such diverse applications and really are hard to beat.
“We launched the first Dual Force+, the 27X in 2018, as a cost-effective alternative to selected AGM products available in the marketplace and following its success we have now expanded the range to include the NS70 and 86 case sizes.
“In the past it was strongly recommended to avoid fitting Deep Cycle AGM batteries under the bonnet as this could void the warranty due to the fuel, oil and other engine lubricants causing damage to the ABS battery casing materials.
“Unlike many competitors AGMs, Century’s Dual Force+ batteries are manufactured using specialist hardwearing Polypropylene cases which make them ideal for use in under bonnet applications where heat, fluids and other contaminants can damage products not built to the same specification.”
Century explains its Dual Force+ batteries are supplied with twin terminals, a 24-month warranty and an array of advanced design features to ensure long lasting, dependable power and up to 20 times greater vibration resistance than standard flooded batteries.
Century Yuasa says they have low internal resistance and low self-discharge rates, enabling faster recharge and longer shelf life. When fully charged, they can reportedly be stored for extended periods of time and conveniently recharged using a range of AGM compatible chargers.
