The Dayco stand proved very popular with Expo visitors

One of the world’s leading manufacturers of engine components for the automotive aftermarket industry, Dayco, enjoyed a strong presence at the 2019 Australian Auto Aftermarket (AAA) Expo.
Debuting a brand-new stand based on the design cues of the company’s new global branding, Dayco Australia showcased its leading technologies, product range and customer support on the stand.
Dayco also displayed a new automotive product that was included in the AAA Expo Most Innovative New Product Showcase throughout the busy three-day event. This was the Dayco Friction Wheel Tensioner, which Dayco says is yet another example of the technology that drives its aftermarket product range development.
The Dayco Friction Wheel Tensioner is an engine component that has been precision engineered to transfer the power from an engine’s crankshaft pulley to the water pump pulley.
The major advantage of the Dayco Friction Wheel is its ability to engage the water pump on demand through an electro-mechanical actuator. The actuator, controlled by an ECU via an electrical signal, can activate the water pump when needed from the belt drive mechanical power supply.
The 2019 AAA Expo also showcased Dayco’s industry leading Front-End Auxiliary Drive (FEAD) components along with the engine belts and thermal engine management products that Dayco says has made it “the Australian trade’s number one choice for decades.”
AAA Expo visitors were also able to inspect the first specially designed Dayco Top Fuel Supercharger Belt, made in conjunction with United States based multiple Top Fuel Championship team, Don Schumacher Racing and raced to great success by the team along with many of their competitors.
The Dayco stand also proved to be popular with visitors to take an inside look at the company’s Australian motorsport involvement with behind the scenes Tickford Racing Supercar, Australian GT and Australian Tarmac Rally footage on screen throughout the event.
“The 2019 AAA Expo really displayed the strength of the Australian automotive aftermarket industry. We received many positive comments from many visitors about the size and quality of this event,” Dayco Vice President – Asia Pacific, Arnold Mouw, said.
“The Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association should be very proud of how our Expo continues to grow every two years and we are always proud to fly the Dayco flag there.”
