DBA AND MOTORSPORT AUSTRALIA FORM NEW ALLIANCE

Disc Brakes Australia (DBA) has announced a new partnership with Motorsport Australia as its exclusive Brake Partner

As a not-for-profit member-based organisation, Motorsport Australia is focused on the development, regulation and administration of motorsport across Australia.
It is the recognised governing and sanctioning body for four-wheeled motorsport in Australia and has been a member of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) since 1958.
The new partnership between Disc Brakes Australia (DBA) and Motorsport Australia acknowledges their joint commitment to motorsport in Australia from enthusiasts’ events to amateur racing categories all the way to semi-professional and professional formats.
DBA’s global success in braking is closely linked to its own history of developing, engineering and manufacturing performance and motorsport brake rotors in Australia since its foundation in the 1970s.
Many teams both locally and internationally have since been relying on DBA brake products in open and controlled parts categories, including in the Australian Touring Car Masters, Hyundai Excel Cup, and RX8 Cup, and Lotus Cup Japan to name a few.
Furthermore, DBA has been a strong supporter of motorsport categories and teams, including V8 Ute Racing, and more recently Erebus Motorsport and Tickford Racing in Supercars, as well as various amateur categories.
These days, DBA prides itself on offering performance brakes for motorsport applications as well as the largest range of brake rotors, pads and ancillary products with a product range comprising of over 10,000 individual parts (SKUs).
“As Australia’s premier brake manufacturer, partnering with Motorsport Australia is the perfect opportunity to further deepen our connection with the Australian motorsport community,” DBA General Manager, Phillip Joseph, said.
“With a range of brake design patents, trademarks and IP to our name and backed by our Australian R and D and manufacturing capabilities, we offer the largest range of brake rotors and pads in the market, something Motorsport Australia’s many members and licence holders will greatly benefit from.
“With their Strategy Plan 2023-25, Motorsport Australia are showing a clear vision for the future of motorsport in this country, and we’re excited to support and be part of this.”
Motorsport Australia Chief Executive Officer, Sunil Vohra, was equally pleased to have Disc Brakes Australia as the official Brake partner.
“We’re delighted to welcome Disc Brakes Australia to the Motorsport Australia family as the official Brake Partner,” Sunil said.
“DBA has an impressive track record of being involved with Australian motorsport, supplying performance brake products and technical support to motorsport teams at all levels. We look forward to building a strong relationship with the team at Disc Brakes Australia.”
