Martin has been living and breathing automotive since he was a child

After a remarkable 17 years occupying the Burson Auto Parts Product Manager role, Martin Farrell has recently taken an exciting new step in his automotive aftermarket industry career with Bapcor Limited.
Martin has taken on the role of National Sales and Marketing Manager with Bearing Wholesalers, a leading automotive bearing re-seller.
A part of the ever growing Bapcor Group of automotive aftermarket companies, Bearing Wholesalers reportedly provides a vast range of the world’s top brands alongside the company’s own in-house kitting program that includes premium quality replacement wheel bearing kits, gearbox kits, differential kits and timing belt kits.
As Martin explains, this move represents a significant milestone change for his career, albeit one that sees him remain within Australia’s largest automotive aftermarket specialised company.
“I’ve occupied my Burson Auto Parts Product Manager role for the last 17 years and at one stage it was just myself and AAAA Hall of Famer Andrew Schram looking after the company’s entire product management. It has been a long and rewarding career and the growth that has taken place over this period has been incredible,” Martin said.
“I am looking forward to my new role with a company that I truly believe has been a sleeping giant in our industry, so the potential to take the company to the next level is huge in my opinion.
“The General Manager at Bearing Wholesalers is Zoran Lazic who is also one of my former Burson Auto Parts colleagues. We share similar beliefs about the company’s growth potential into the future and it will be great working together to achieve our goals.”
It is fair to say that Martin has been living and breathing automotive since he was a child, being fascinated with cars while growing up with three older brothers and becoming a mechanic as his first job. He has worked with HM Gem Engines, spent five years assisting in running the Burson Auto Parts Dandenong (VIC) store, was a store manager with Speed Pro Performance Parts and became a Product Manager from then on. His passion for cars still exists today through his prized possessions, a ‘66 Chevy C10 Pick-Up and a ‘68 Camaro.
