FILTER GUARD
With the Filter Guard, Sakura says updating diesel filtration is a delight

In the ever-evolving world of automotive technology, every gearhead knows one universal truth: water and diesel do not mix.
That’s why when it comes to keeping your diesel 4WDs and utes running at their best, Sakura says Filter Guard stands out as the unsung hero you didn’t realise you needed.
Sakura is pleased to introduce to the market the spin-on version of Filter Guard.
The company explains that Filter Guard is more than just a filter – it is your engine’s frontline defence against diesel contamination.
Using a highly effective fuel-water separator, Filter Guard removes water and impurities before they can cause costly faults in vital engine components.
Did you know that vehicle and engine manufacturers can deny warranty claims if contaminated fuel is detected?
Every time you fill up, Sakura says you are rolling the dice without knowing if you will receive a bad batch.
While factory fuel filters generally do a decent job, Sakura says the Filter Guard provides an extra layer of security, ensuring that water and bacterial growth are removed, allowing only the cleanest diesel to flow through for a cleaner, healthier injection system, and a longer-lasting engine.
Imagine cruising down the highway in your trusted 4WD, everything humming smoothly. Whether it is purring like a kitten or growling like a beast, Sakura says you can be confident Filter Guard is hard at work behind the scenes, separating the good fuel from the bad.
There are also a number of upgrade options.
Filter Guard’s latest evolution brings a high-volume spin-on version, and Sakura says it is already spinning heads among diesel enthusiasts.
Just like the original model, the new spin-on assembly supports multiple filtration levels: 30, 10, or two microns.
It also includes your choice of AN-6 or AN-8 adaptors, giving you full flexibility to configure it to your setup.
The new spin-on elements can be fitted to your existing Filter Guard brackets with only minor adjustments, giving your fuel system a modern makeover.
And while these spin-on elements are more compact for easier draining and maintenance, Sakura says you shouldn’t let the size fool you, stating that they pack more media than their predecessor. Indeed, the company says it is “the filtration equivalent of buying a compact car that somehow has two rows of leg room.”
With the launch of the new spin-on range, Sakura is expanding and updating its offering with even more vehicle-specific kits.
It encourages you to “embrace the spin, enjoy cleaner fuel, and let Filter Guard keep your diesel engine powering on.”
