The Emerging Exporter Award rewards outstanding export achievement by an enterprise in any industry sector which has been exporting goods or services for three years or less

On-demand manufacturer and online retailer, FitMyCar, has taken out the Emerging Exporter award for Victoria.
Organised by Trade Victoria and awarded by event patron, the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, FitMyCar received the award in front of Victoria’s best and brightest manufacturers and exporters at a packed Government House recently.
Previous export winners include Swisse, 99designs, Gekko and Envato. FitMyCar now heads to the Australian final where it will be judged alongside the other state winners.
“We were proud just to be shortlisted, so to win is a huge bonus!” FitMyCar Chief Executive Officer, James Tinsley, said.
“Our view is the Australian automotive industry as a brand has a lot to offer the local and international community.
“All the skills and technology exist right here to make and export awesome gear. Awards like this just confirm the market is there, and the reality is we’ve only just scratched the surface.”
FitMyCar launched in 2016 out of a need to give everyday drivers an easy way to find and buy essential car accessories that fit. Products sold include car mats, floor liners, ute mats, dash mats, boot liners and more.
FitMyCar has rapidly grown to become a leading manufacturer to consumer automotive brands.
In 2017, FitMyCar took out the ORIAS Best New Online Retailer and is also a Power Retail Top 100 business.

FitMyCar hosts Senator Kitching
Following its recognition by the Victorian Governor, FitMyCar was also scheduled to host the Senator for Victoria, the Honourable Kimberley Kitching, at its Ravenhall headquarters and manufacturing facility soon after AAAM closed for press.
James said the opportunity to have Senator Kitching visit the FitMyCar facility and meet members of its team would be enthusiastically welcomed and provides a great opportunity to discuss the needs and opportunities of the Western Melbourne area.
