GB AUTO ELECTRICAL CONVERSIONS

In 2019 GB Auto’s subsidiary, GB Electric Vehicles, became the exclusive distributor in Australia for the Tembo 4×4 e-LV Electric Cruiser and Electric HLX

GB Auto explains that these are essentially battery powered, 100 percent electric Land Cruiser and Hilux vehicles. It explains that the electric conversion of the Land Cruiser and Hilux is completed in Australia and results in a vehicle which produces zero emissions, less noise and less heat – making them the perfect choice for use in underground mining situations.
The Tembo 4×4 e-LV Electric Cruiser and Electric HLX utilise liquid cooled Lithium-Ion NMC batteries in conjunction with a 110kW electric motor and custom-designed reduction box. This configuration leads to a calculated 1,800Nm at the wheels for “excellent” torque characteristics.
Each part of the Tembo 4×4 e-LV has reportedly been selected for durability, easy maintenance and availability with the Tembo 4×4 e-LV using proven technology from the European automotive sector. With IP67 ingress ratings on vital parts such as the inverter, the EVCU and all electric connections and special coatings, all parts are protected against corrosion and the Tembo 4×4 e-LV is expected to have a long lifespan in the toughest conditions.
GB Auto says the electrical conversion not only offers zero emissions and increased performance, but also generates huge savings on operational costs as the high reliability of the electrical components means less maintenance is required and therefore, less downtime will occur.
The company also has experience planning and installing GPS solutions for entire sites including fleet management, vehicle tracking and specific mining and construction applications; supplying and installing many brands of light vehicle tracking systems and stocking all major commercial radio brands and models.
GB Auto says it is a leading provider of services, products and technology to fleet, heavy vehicle and mobile equipment in Australia with experience working on all types of fleet and equipment.
It says its team of more than 130 highly skilled personnel is committed to maintaining its reputation for the best service, quality and products. A seven-day breakdown service in the field is provided and GB Auto has five workshops across New South Wales where it says it can service all your auto electrical, air conditioning and mechanical logbook service needs including repairs, maintenance, rebuilds and refurbishment.
These workshops are conveniently located in Orange, Singleton, Gunnedah, Mudgee and Arndell Park and GB Auto says the parts store in each of these workshops combined with its fleet of 60 field service vehicles offers more than 10,000 different parts from a range of quality brands. It states this means it can always find the right product for its customers quickly and efficiently, minimising down-time.
