GUD IMPRESSES AT AAAE

The GUD team brought all of its brands together at AAAE

When GUD made its latest acquisition of AutoPacific Group in January 2022, the challenge was laid down: showcase the GUD portfolio journey and demonstrate the power of bringing all brands together at the 2022 Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo.
In April this is exactly what the team from across the GUD network presented at the Expo – sixteen iconic and instantly recognisable brands in the GUD stable and over 50 products on display were all anchored around a brand-new Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series that was decked out and tricked up for the show and connected to a Cruisemaster trailer fitted with an Auto Ride Hide system.
Among the “new news” on the stand was:
• Four new bull bars from East Coast Bullbars, all specifically designed for the LC300.
• The new Rola Ridge Mount system for mounting flat trays to the roof of vehicles as well as a prototype on fully equipped canopies.
• A brand-new Uneek 4×4 Crawler Bar designed for the LC300. The frontal protection steel bumper was accessorised with two pairs of Narva Driving Light as well as an integrated Narva Light Bar and DRLs.
• Upgraded brake disc rotors from Disc Brakes Australia which had been made specifically for the new LandCruiser.
The stand was not all about “new news” either, with GUD stating the impact and inherent strength the collective brands have and how they complement each other was clear.
From all around vehicle protection, to lighting, power management, trailer manufacture and maintenance and cargo, there were products everywhere.
There were still more aspects that were either not on the vehicle or not visible. Upgraded clutches, although not relevant to the Landcruiser 300, were very relevant to the 70 Series LandCruiser and Clutch Services Australia showcased the popular Extreme Outback Extra Heavy-Duty Upgrade, which it says is the clutch system of choice for a modified 70 series.
Similarly, Ryco provide filters for a variety of uses throughout the vehicle. Although not obvious from the outside, they play a critical role in the ongoing running of the vehicle. Ryco filters are developed and tested in Australia to withstand Australian conditions.
The back of the stand showed off a CSM Service Body that had been effectively accessorised with Narva Work Lamps, a Projecta Invertor and Rola Ladder Rack, demonstrating the ultimate service body.
