The company specialises in electrical, mechanical and electronic automotive spare parts

Since IKA Germany committed itself to the Australian market last year after attending the AAAA Expo in Melbourne, the company has gradually eased its way into the marketplace.
Having a dedicated sales representative (Richard Brunger) based in Cairns has reportedly enabled IKA Germany to get a greater understanding of the local marketplace and the company says it has forged some very important relationships over the first year.
Over the last 12 months IKA Germany’s product expansion of the 12V and 24V NOx-Sensor portfolio has reportedly proven the R&D department’s sense for international aftermarket demands and is driving the development of the comprehensive portfolio day by day.
“To ensure quality on an OE level, every sensor is built with 100 percent new components, also every component is individually calibrated and tested,” IKA Germany Technical Director, Mark Twardziok, said.
“Today IKA Germany can proudly offer the highest level of application coverage within the aftermarket and the complementing range is increasing steadily.”
IKA Germany says smaller projects, such as the 24V-flasher development with one of its OES partners, has progressed very well and again proved that premium performance in niche ranges provides high competitiveness.
It says the GEBE relay range covers the full standard portfolio and features multiple special applications and the company’s own developments, with everything available from stock.
“High Pressure Fuel Pumps have been on our agenda for quite some time now,” IKA Germany Head of Product Management, Christian Langen, said.
“Consequently, we are now in the final stages of offering a premium aftermarket range for passenger cars.
“As we emphasise OE quality as our standard, every finished product is subjected to a ‘helium leak test’ for final quality assurance, and all components are manufactured and assembled in the same plant.”
Even with the COVID-19 crisis, IKA Germany says it has been able to maintain its operations and is confident it can maintain a strong supply chain through this time.
