IMPROVEMENTS FOR PEDDERS ELECTRONIC SECONDARY PARK BRAKE

For tradespeople, fleet operators and any vehicle operators that regularly carry or tow loads, ensuring that their vehicle is safe while loading or unloading is of critical importance

While standard Park Brakes function adequately in most situations, they can be pushed beyond their limit when dealing with heavy loads, making the threat of vehicle rollaway a real danger.
Pedders says this is where its innovative Electronic Secondary Park Brake, or ESPB comes in, and the latest version of this product has added features to provide an extra level of security for vehicle operators.

Reduce the risk of vehicle rollaway
Original equipment handbrakes can struggle to hold heavy loads, presenting a risk of vehicle rollaway which can cause significant injury and property damage.
With safety and compliance being a key priority for businesses and fleet operators, Pedders has designed and engineered the ESPB to work in tandem with a vehicle’s standard park brake to greatly reduce the risk of rollaway.
Pedders says its ESPB significantly increases a vehicle’s ability to hold when parked by utilising its own electronically activated brake caliper that works in tandem with the standard park brake.
This ensures that the appropriate clamping pressure is always applied to greatly minimise the risk of rollaway, even on steep inclines or uneven terrain.

New autonomous safety features for greater security
The latest version of the Pedders ESPB, designed to fit Toyota Landcruiser (VDJ, VDJL and GDJL 2019-on models) is designed with new features that further enhance driver safety and ease of use.
This latest version of the ESPB is still operated via a seamlessly integrated cabin switch but adds new logic which enables the system to automatically engage and disengage when certain conditions are met.

This additional level of autonomous security is detailed in the table above.
Pedders says the automatic activation and deactivation features provide extra safety to vehicle operators and adds to the impressive safety credentials for the Electronic Secondary Park Brake.
The ESPB is backed by a Two-Year / 40,000km Warranty which is supported through Pedders’ network of 120 outlets across every state and territory in Australia.
