Bruce received an OAM as part of the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours

Managing Director and Chairman of the Headmod Group including HM GEM Engines, Nason Engine Parts and Premier Machinery and Components, has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the General Division in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Bruce Robert Parker’s citation reads “For service to the community and the automotive industry.”
His service to the automotive industry has been outstanding as founder of Australia’s largest engine remanufacturing company and Chairman and Managing Director of Nason Engine Parts and Premier Machinery and Components, which today form the Headmod Group of Companies.
Throughout his career Bruce has made a significant contribution to the automotive industry through training and also the employment of people with disabilities and has won the Prime Minister’s ‘Employer of the Year Award – large business’ on no less than four occasions.
He has supported industry associations such as the Australian Engine Reconditioners Association as a former President, The Victorian Chamber of Commerce (VACC) as a past Division Chairman and had also been active in industry through the South East Business Network (SEBN) and South East Melbourne Manufacturing Alliance (SEMMA).
Bruce continues to be an active member of the Rotary Club of Doncaster and as Co-Founder, assisted in the formation of the Rotary East Timor Roofing and Training Cooperative which handed over ownership of this company to the Don Bosco organisation of East Timor in 2018.
He is a Past President of the Commando Association – Victoria and Co-Founder and Trustee of the Commando Welfare Trust which provides financial support to Special Operations Command Soldiers and their families when others cannot.
Bruce is also Co-Founder of the Michael Parker Foundation which assists in the education of underprivileged children in Australia, East Timor and Nepal. For more than 15 years Bruce has been a volunteer supporter of the Victorian Police Initiative –‘Hand Brake Turn’ assisting the direction of youth of Australia.
The industry acknowledges Bruce Parker in receiving an award of such high distinction.
