In vehicle and on the go

An innovative new rugged Vehicle Tablet by Ionnic, specifically designed to withstand the rigors of day to day fleet, trade and commercial use, is now available through Auto Electrical Imports (AEI).
Easily transferable from vehicle to mobile use, the tablet is suitable for any application in or out of the vehicle. It is ideally suited for service vans, transport, logistics, mining, agriculture, garbage trucks and more.
AEI says that for years, the market has been asking for a tablet rugged enough to withstand daily use in the field with the capability to be stored and charged in-cab via an integrated docking station.
Previously users were obligated to adapt consumer type tablets for this use, and it soon became apparent they were not up to the task.
AEI Managing Director, Norman Haupt, said the release of the new tablet was another example of his company’s proud record of designing innovative new products to meet customer needs.
“We have brought to the market a tablet with an in-vehicle docking station specifically designed to meet all the requirements needed for in-vehicle and mobile use,” Norman said.

The new tablet offers an Android OS system integrated with 4G LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth, allowing for easy connectivity and integration with third party software.
The replaceable inbuilt battery is easy to remove when a new battery is needed to maintain fleet efficiency and reduce after-sales costs.
The in-vehicle docking station allows the tablet to be secured in vehicles ensuring no more flat battery issues.
AEI says importantly it comes in a rugged case, with a rubber housing which has been drop tested to MIL-STD-810G and is IP66 to withstand the toughest of working environments.
AEI states that the new Ionnic Tablet brings to market a robust solution that overcomes many of the issues associated with traditional tablets not being robust enough for fleets and in-vehicle use.
AEI provides specialist lighting, safety and electrical solutions for mobile plant and equipment in the automotive, mining, OEM, transport and construction industry worldwide.
