Ironman 4×4 has grown its protection range a long way in recent years

The company says the brief throughout this growth has stayed the same: design that looks right on the vehicle, ADR compliance that stands up to real testing, and pricing that still feels like a win.

Mark states compliance is not a sticker for Ironman 4×4, which invests in in-house testing at its Melbourne R&D Centre.
“Finite element analysis is only the start. Those results are checked on a purpose-built pendulum crash-test rig on site,” Mark said.
“That rig is unusual for a reason. The mass behind the pendulum can be changed to match the GVM of the vehicle being tested.
“That means the bar is validated against the weight of the vehicle to which it is fitted and not a generic figure.
“The work is there to confirm airbag timing, crush behaviour and safety system integration, so the bar meets ADR requirements and still works with the vehicle’s own crash systems.”

Further, Mark says value across Ironman 4×4 is strong.
“The bull bars make the point clearly,” Mark said.
“Deluxe models commonly include a 12,000lb winch cradle, two rated recovery points and a solid 4mm front bash plate. They are available for $3069, including the light patch loom.
“The APEX bar takes the Deluxe feature set and steps it up: 60.3mm hoops and integrated cube lights. It starts from just $3424 plus fitting.
