NEW INNOVATION LAUNCHED BY BASCO WHOLESALE

The company presents what it describes as “Australia’s first telescopic driveshaft assembly for lifted vehicles”

For years, Australian 4×4 enthusiasts, mechanics, and off-road adventurers have wrestled with one persistent challenge: finding a driveshaft engineered to handle the extremes of lifted suspension systems.
“At Basco Wholesale, our mission has always been to push boundaries — not just meet industry standards, but define them. And I’m proud to unveil a product that does exactly that,” Basco Wholesale General Manager, Will Lucas, said.
“While OE components often fall short – prone to joint failure and limited articulation – Basco has responded with an industry-first: the Next-Gen Telescopic Driveshaft Assembly, purpose-built for lifted vehicles and available exclusively through Basco.
“This isn’t a simple upgrade – it is a reimagining of the driveshaft, engineered from the ground up to meet the evolving demands of the modern 4WD and SUV market.”

Sliding Spline Centre Shaft
At the heart of this innovation is Basco’s sliding spline centre shaft, featuring case hardened ball bearing design with machined tracks to guide and stabilise linear movement.
“Offering a substantial 40mm more linear travel than OEM assemblies, this added extension is crucial when navigating extreme suspension flex – a common scenario in lifted setups,” Will said.
“Whether you are rock crawling, hill climbing, or simply heading bush, this extra articulation means smoother operation, fewer binding issues, and dramatically reduced wear on surrounding driveline components.”

High-Strength Eight-Ball Fixed CV Joints
Wil says, “where most driveshafts fail is where we’ve doubled down.”
“Where applicable, our inner and outer CV joints feature high-strength, eight-ball engineering, delivering an incredible 60 percent increase in operating angle at the inboard joint,” Will said.
“This means vehicles equipped with lift kits no longer suffer premature CV failure due to angle strain.
“The Basco telescopic driveshaft holds articulation without compromise – maintaining full functionality even under aggressive suspension geometry.”

Tailored fit for Australia’s most popular vehicles
Basco Wholesale has launched its first production run of this product, for Ford Ranger, Mazda BT50, Toyota Hilux and various Subaru models.
“More applications are already in development – so whether you’re in the trade or tuning your daily driver, Basco is the name to watch,” Will said.
“This product isn’t just another part on the shelf. It is a leap forward in 4×4 driveline engineering, delivering real performance benefits, longer component life, and true peace of mind for anyone running a lifted setup.
“At Basco Wholesale, we’ve always championed practical innovation. Now, we’re proud to say we’ve set a new national benchmark – and we’re just getting started.
