Rowe Hightec DCG II is a high-performance, double-clutch gear oil that reportedly meets around 30 different specifications.
MotorActive explains that this enables this one lubricant to suit virtually every DCT, DSG, PDK, S-Tronic and twin-clutch transmission that is likely to roll into Aussie workshops.
It states that Hightec DCG II is a premium quality lubricant specially tailored to the low wear, low friction and long service life requirements of the modern dual-clutch transmissions manufactured by Getrag, ZF AG, Borg-Warner, Schaeffler Group and others.
It is said to provide maximum protection against wear, corrosion, sludge and sticking – all the way from sub-zero temperatures through to extreme heat and stress.
Those behind the product say Rowe Hightec DCG II also enables spontaneous and sporty gear changes, plus slip-free operation, even under very high torque loads.
MotorActive warns that using ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid), or a traditional manual transmission lubricant (gear oil) in a dual clutch transmission typically results in catastrophic failure of the gearbox.
