Product Safety Recall
2014 DBA4418 – DBA Brake Rotor to fit Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 1998-2007
Disc Brakes Australia Pty Ltd (DBA) has become aware that specific batches of its 4000 series DBA4418 series disc rotors (manufactured between June 2013 and May 2014) may experience thermal shock.
If thermal shock occurs, the affected product may crack or separate. Thermal shock is typically associated with motorsport racing. A vehicle driven under normal conditions is unlikely to experience heat shock or any associated failure of the DBA4418 rotor.
What to do
To check if your product is impacted, DBA is asking drivers of affected Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution models to check their rotors or take their car to a mechanic to have the rotors checked. More information on impacted Mitsubishi Lancer models and identifying affected batches can be found at www.dba.com.au/product-safety-notices
