A new PAO68 A/C Compressor Oil has been introduced by Flashlube

Flashlube has just launched its new PAO68 A/C Compressor Oil, a product developed to help protect and prolong the life of any vehicle’s A/C Compressor and its components.
Proper maintenance of the Compressor does involve more than simply changing the oil, however ensuring your oil levels don’t drop too low enough can help to prevent serious issues from occurring, such as seizing or damage to internal components.
Flashlube’s PAO68 A/C Compressor Oil has been designed specifically to address these issues, allowing for optimal performance and reliability.
Flashlube says it has used a PAO68 oil for this application, due to proven long-term benefits such as a high resistance to oxidation, giving the oil a slower degradation rate under high temperatures and further extending the lifespan of the oil.
It says this ultimately extends the intervals required for compressor oil changes and extends the lifespan of the compressor.
Suitable for a wide range of automotive applications including electric and hybrid vehicles, Flashlube says the fully synthetic PAO68 oil helps to both lubricate the vehicle’s compressor and internal components, as well as increase performance.
It is also a non-hygroscopic fluid, meaning it will not readily absorb moisture, allowing the oil’s properties to be maintained within the compressor.
However, it does absorb heat and in some hybrid vehicles can help to prevent any electrical damage to the compressor, says Flashlube.
Flashlube Compressor Oil has low refrigerant solubility, preventing dilution and allowing it to maintain its full viscosity within the compressor.
It minimises compressor noise and energy consumption and is infused with a fluorescent UV dye to help detect any leaks from the compressor’s components.
