RedVision is a total vehicle management system which sets a new level of automation in the recreational vehicle industry

Redarc Electronics’ RedVision total vehicle management system was recently unveiled as a Good Design Award Winner by Good Design Australia in the Product Design Sport and Lifestyle category.
The awards recognise outstanding design and innovation, representing the highest honour for design innovation in Australia.
With winners travelling from all over the country, the announcement was made in style at the Sydney Opera House on May 17th in what was a milestone 60th anniversary for the awards body.
The award recipients were presented with the new sustainably designed Good Design Award trophy in Sydney. Special guest, Jan Utzon (son of Jorn Utzon, who designed the Sydney Opera House) presented the Good Design Award of the Year on stage and congratulated all of the 2018 Winners.
The 60th Anniversary Good Design Awards attracted a record number of entries. From the 536 innovative designs, only 260 projects were selected to receive the coveted Good Design Award.
“This is a significant achievement for Redarc and RedVision, considering the high standard of submissions received this year,” Redarc Electronics Managing Director, Anthony Kittel, said.
“This is a true testament to the R&D and innovation we put behind each and every one of our products. Our Vision for Redarc is to produce highly innovative products and RedVision is one great example of that.
“We are proud to provide the highest quality, designed, developed, and engineered products. They are built and tested in Australia to withstand the harshest conditions.”

The Awards attracted a very high calibre of submissions across 10 main design disciplines and 28 sub-categories. An independent Jury Panel comprising of design, engineering and architectural design experts carefully evaluated each submission.
“Great overall product. Industrial design and interface design spot on. This is a clean integrated solution that is reliable and robust. Clever interface that is super simple to use and operate,” the Good Design Awards Jury commented regarding RedVision.
“The fuse box can be accessed easily for replacing when needed and a faulty fuse is lit and identified, making it really easy to replace – big plus for that,” the jury added.
The Good Design Awards evaluates all entries based on three overarching design criteria that include: Good Design, Design Innovation and Design Impact. Further to this, Judges are asked to evaluate each entry based on specific evaluation criteria aligned to each of the 10 Design Disciplines.
The Awards celebrate the best new products and services on the market, excellence in architectural design, digital and communication design and reward emerging areas of design including business model innovation, social impact and design entrepreneurship. Through their annual Good Design Awards program, they proudly showcase superior examples of good design to a national and international audience.
