ROADSAFE SHOCK ABSORBERS
Stringent local testing ensures the quality, safety, reliability of these shock absorbers, explains Roadsafe

Since its successful introduction to the Australian automotive aftermarket, the high-quality Roadsafe shock absorber range has continued to grow both in reputation and range.
Designed for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and four-wheel drives, Roadsafe shock absorbers have undergone extensive local development, testing and validation to meet the demands of Australian conditions.
The range includes:
• Roadsafe STR – engineered for OE replacement in passenger vehicles and daily drivers.
• Roadsafe 4WD – designed to support lifted vehicles with suspension travel up to 50mm.
Roadsafe says it is now proud to announce a significant expansion of the range, with more than 150 new part numbers added to meet growing demand and to cover an even broader selection of makes and models across Australia, bringing the total market coverage to over 15 million vehicles, covered by over 1200 part numbers.
While many brands claim local validation, Roadsafe says it backs it up with a rigorous testing program.
All product development and quality assurance takes place at the dedicated Research and Design facility in Springvale, Victoria and out on both sealed and unsealed Australian roads.
Every shock absorber is subjected to a battery of strict quality assessments, including:
• Visual Quality Inspections – assessing weld integrity, alignment, finish, threads, and rubber quality.
• Dynamometer Testing – to measure gas pressure, damping forces, drag and response speeds.
• Vehicle Fitment Validation – ensuring correct mount points, clearance, lift and droop parameters, and identifying any fouling issues.
• On-Road Testing – evaluating real-world performance including cornering, braking, steering response and ride comfort across variable terrain.
To maintain consistent quality, Roadsafe continues to conduct batch testing on every production order. This includes matching the product to engineering specifications, detailed inspections of chrome, paint, welds and brackets, plus dynamic and physical testing as required.
The ongoing investment into this local testing and development infrastructure has also enabled Roadsafe to accelerate new product development – ensuring the range not only grows but stays ahead of market demand.
The full Roadsafe shock absorber range is available through Burson Auto Parts and other trusted independent resellers nationwide.
