Ryco Group has acquired Disc Brakes Australia (DBA), which it says is well-known as a leader in standard replacement and performance disc rotors, and for its patented Kangaroo Paw ventilation design which sets it apart from the field.
Recently, the company announced a DBA performance pad program, featuring three levels of pads which can be matched to their disc rotors for optimum braking.
Gideon Segal, who has a wealth of braking and undercar knowledge and experience, has been appointed Executive General Manager.
Founder Phillip Joseph will remain in DBA as International Sales Manager, while Phillip Joseph Junior has been appointed GM Operations.
Long-time DBA face Martin Peart, as General Manager Sales, will continue to service customers across Australia and New Zealand.
“We’re excited to have DBA join the Ryco Group. After spending nearly six years with the company many moons ago I know what they have to offer us. It’s a fantastic brand,” Ryco Group Chief Executive Officer, Guy Nicholls, said.
“With the combination of Ryco’s market pull through strategy and DBA’s great product offering, we see an exciting future.”
It’s been a busy 18 months for Ryco Group. Following its first major acquisition IM Group in 2016, AA Gaskets closely followed in 2017 and now DBA joins an impressive growing stable of industry leading companies, says Ryco Group, with the disc brake acquisition complementing the engine management and gasket segments in the group’s portfolio.
DBA officially joined the Ryco Group as of July 2nd, 2018.
