SACHS SHOCK ABSORBERS: RIGOROUSLY TESTED

Every year, more than 10 million new vehicles equipped with SACHS shock absorbers and dampers roll off the assembly line

These numbers are proof of the absolute trust instilled in these products by automotive manufacturers worldwide.
Available through ZF Aftermarket, SACHS shock absorbers are said to distinguish themselves through original equipment quality and innovative technology.
With the perfect combination of performance and dynamics, ZF Aftermarket says SACHS shock absorbers ensure perfect road grip and cornering behaviour, no matter what challenges the road may present.
Whether it’s a shock, strut or insert, SACHS products are built to exacting standards, leaving no room for compromise, says those behind the product.
Accordingly, SACHS customers can expect original equipment compliance and quality products, regardless of whether it’s an OE or aftermarket solution that’s required, says ZF Aftermarket.
Locally, the SACHS range offers more than 2,500 shock absorber references, with a combination of mono-tube and twin-tube gas pressurised shock technology throughout the entire range.
Additionally, more than 350 strut mounts and bearings and 200 bump stop and boot kits are available.
“Automotive manufacturers worldwide continue to show their trust in SACHS shock absorbers, with over 10 million new vehicles produced with our products every single year,” ZF Services Australia Managing Director, Mark Sookias, said.
“On top of that, SACHS applies its automotive experience to the aftermarket, ensuring that the range of replacement parts is manufactured to OE standards.
“We are proud to confirm that SACHS has a replacement part available to service the needs of a comprehensive range of vehicles on Australian roads. If you are on a train, a bus, driving a truck or a passenger car, or even watching Supercar races, the probability of a SACHS product being connected is extremely high.”
In a demonstration of its commitment to the local automotive aftermarket, SACHS has increased its shock absorber range by over 45 references already in 2018.

Proven performance
SACHS’ performance is proven by decades of winning in motorsport, with its products continually pushed to the limits in some of the toughest race conditions worldwide.
From Formula 1, the World Rally Championship, DTM and Supercars to amateur race series and tuning vehicles, motorsport teams in categories right across the globe rely on SACHS products.
“The success achieved by SACHS on these race tracks during competition translates directly to the product range developed for passenger cars,” Mark said.
“SACHS engineers use this race-bred technology to perfect products for the road, by finding the optimum balance between performance and comfort, without compromising quality.
“The end result for our customers is superior ride control and comfort, combined with maximum safety reliability and performance from the SACHS products fitted to their vehicles.”
In Australia, SACHS shock absorbers have been an intrinsic part of Supercars racing for more than a decade.
Last season saw the German brand take the lion’s share of Supercars success with Jamie Whincup emerging Champion for a record seventh time, having claimed all of his titles with SACHS.

In 2017, SACHS-equipped Supercars won nine races, with their drivers collectively standing on the podium 28 times and scoring five pole positions.
All up, 18 of the 26 Supercars in the 2017 field used SACHS shock absorbers and dampers including Bathurst 1000 winner David Reynolds, who also earned the Barry Sheene Medal for the season’s ‘Best and Fairest’ driver.
SACHS’ most visible involvement with Supercars is via its long-time Ambassador Craig Lowndes, who for the past 14 seasons has relied exclusively on SACHS shock absorbers in his Triple Eight Race Engineering-prepared Supercars.
For over a decade, SACHS has helped Lowndes and his Triple Eight teammates including Whincup and Shane van Gisbergen, to over 170 race wins.
Elsewhere around the world, Germany’s Supercars equivalent, the DTM (German Touring Car Masters), has long been a performance and development ground for SACHS as demonstrated by the new carbon clutch in BMW’s M4 DTM racer.
Nothing puts the pressure on SACHS products like Supercars and DTM races, and the knowledge that is gained from these intense racing environments is utilised by SACHS engineers to perfect products for the road, finding the optimum balance between performance and comfort, without compromising quality.
This proven performance translates into product capable of the reliable versatility demanded by today’s heavy city traffic and winding country road conditions.
