SUPERPRO CONTROL ARMS

Improving 4×4 handling and performance and prolonging tyre life

Part of the fun of owning a 4×4 vehicle is customising it with accessories, rims, larger tyres, suspension lift kits, and more.
However, there is a downside as these adjustments could have a negative affect on the vehicle’s wheel alignment.
After some upgrades are installed, the vehicle will require both Camber and Caster adjustments to get the suspension geometry back to OEM settings.
This could contribute to handling and driveability issues like steering wheel vibrations, uneven tyre wear, and drifting over the road while driving.
SuperPro Control Arms were developed to address these issues and improve overall handling and performance.
SuperPro says its Control Arms are manufactured from a hybrid of high stress, cold formed steel tube and forged steel, have an adjustable position ball joint and are also fitted with SuperPro bushes.
The SuperPro 4×4 Upper and Lower Control Arm is made in Australia with Aussie steel. It’s advertised as a complete kit solution with ultimate adjustability.
SuperPro says it solves alignment issues and contributes to a longer tyre life, and states it has been approved for use nationally and has been certified and confirmed to exceed OE specifications while also coming with a lifetime warranty.
The SuperPro Upper Control Arms come with the Camber and Caster adjustable ball joints, which can return the Camber and Caster to the correct settings. SuperPro says this will result in increased clearance and optimum wheel alignment settings.
These adjustable ball joints are also fitted with the SuperPro polyurethane bushes and SuperPro says that these arms have been designed to reduce tyre wear and increase vehicle safety.
The SuperPro 4×4 Fixed Upper Control Arms are said to be ideal for a “conventional” 50mm lift. SuperPro claims these arms are easy to install in order to achieve correct alignment via the OE adjustment mechanism on the lower arms and states they offer an increase between +2.5 and +3.5 degrees of caster and up to 1.5 degrees of negative camber.
Finally, the SuperPro Standard 4X4 Control Arms are also built with high strength, OE grade Aussie steel. These arms come with pre-installed SuperPro Bushings and an in-built camber and caster change to suit lifted vehicles and include up-rated camber bolts for four positions, OE quality ball joints, and an in-built droop increase to give an overall even vehicle lift. These arms were designed with FEA to exceed OE specifications for strength and durability.
