A special party has been held to celebrate an important milestone for Terrain Tamer

Terrain Tamer has celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a lavish party for 150 staff, suppliers, customers and media in the heritage listed Grand Ballroom of the luxury Hotel Windsor in Melbourne.
The company was started in Moorabbin, in Melbourne’s South East, in 1969 by the late Don Kyatt, and Frank Hutchinson, who remains the Managing Director today alongside his son Brent, who took over as General Manager in 2018.
Still family owned, Terrain Tamer has now grown to have 15 branches worldwide, supplying a range of more than 40,000 4WD parts which it says are often developed to be stronger than their OE equivalent.
These parts are delivered to customers in more than 80 countries worldwide, including workshops, mines, farms, emergency services and recreational drivers.
Hosted by television personality Greg Evans, attendees were entertained by magician Matt Hollywood, as well as by speeches from both Frank – who recounted some of the funnier stories he had witnessed since starting the business – and Brent, who paid respect to the past 50 years while encouraging attendees to get excited about the next fifty.
To mark the occasion, the company also released a coffee table book that was gifted to each of the party’s attendees.
Titled “The Terrain Tamer Journey – 50 Years in the Making”, the book provides a retrospective look back at some of the key moments, people and innovations that have contributed to the company’s history over the past half-century, and celebrates the continuing success of the Terrain Tamer brand.
