ZEAL AUTO

Sealed Performance Batteries says this new range brings OE-grade value to the workshop bench

For technicians who just want a battery that does its job without drama, Sealed Performance Batteries (SPB) has launched Zeal Auto – a new range manufactured by global battery giant Leoch, built specifically around the demands of Australian workshops and resellers.
“It is a straightforward pitch: reliable cranking power, sizes that match what’s actually rolling through Australian bays, and pricing that doesn’t force a trade-off between quality and margin,” SPB Marketing Manager, Callen Price, said.
“SPB has spent over 25 years building our national distribution network, and Zeal Auto is positioned as the latest extension of that trust – an everyday battery technicians can fit and forget, backed by support when they need it.”
Callen explains that Zeal Auto is not a single SKU, it is a full lineup engineered for the jobs mechanics actually see.
The Automotive line covers SLA, EFB and AGM technology with expanded grid internals, sized to match common Australian applications and easy to cross-reference against existing stock codes.
The Marine range brings AGM and SLA options with dual post terminals and vibration-resistant construction, including both deep-cycle and cranking variants that are under bonnet capable for tighter engine bays.
Commercial units are built tough enough for mine-site conditions, with vibration resistance and popular sizes for fleet and heavy-duty work, while the Lawn Mower range offers maintenance-free, LUG-terminal batteries designed for small-engine starting in Australian outdoor conditions.
“With up to 24 months warranty, your customers will have confidence that although it is cheaper product, it still has a quality backing that they can rely on,” Callen said.
Zeal Auto’s manufacturing pedigree comes from Leoch Battery, founded in 1999 and headquartered in Singapore, which produces SLI batteries, automotive batteries, and start-stop battery solutions across its global operations spanning 21 manufacturing facilities and a service network in more than 150 countries.
“On the ground here, SPB – an Australian-owned distributor with branches in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and North Queensland – handles supply, stock and support, so workshops aren’t dealing with an offshore brand in name only,” Callen said.
“The range was officially showcased at the recent Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association Expo, alongside SPB’s wider portfolio. We also launched our new Luscombe headquarters earlier this year, signalling that this is a long-term addition to our lineup, rather than a short-run special.”
