DON KYATT GROUP ANNOUNCES RESTRUCTURE
The changes provide essential clarity as the company expands

The Don Kyatt Group, the company responsible for both the Terrain Tamer and Flashlube brands, has announced a restructure of its upper Management Team roles, following its two-yearly Managers Conference in Melbourne, in October.
With a combined total of more than 175 years of experience not only in the industry but within the company itself, the shift will see five of Don Kyatt’s top managers take on new titles to better define their roles and positions within the company as it continues with a period of international growth and expansion.
Founder and Managing Director Frank Hutchinson will remain at the helm of the company, 57 years after first opening the doors with the late Don Kyatt.
However, Frank’s son Brent Hutchinson, who has been with the company for over 22 years and formerly served as General Manager, will now take on the title of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), relieving some of the governance and administrational responsibilities and freeing up Frank’s time for other managerial duties.
Further to this, Ben Roach will take up the position of Product Manager, Dale Hadfield has been promoted to Sales Manager, and Andrew Saliba has been named Operations Manager, each bringing 30 years or more company experience with them into these roles.
Brent Hutchinson acknowledges that while these new titles have not come with a large shift in duties for each manager, the change has helped to better define each role, and that this clarity has been essential as the company expands.
“A short time ago, we had four international branches, and today we have nine, which of course brings with it complexity in currencies, laws, vehicle differences, and international trade regulations,” Brent said.
“The company’s strength has always been its culture that has come from its willingness to promote from within.
“With these appointments, we have a senior leadership team that is nothing short of elite, ensuring our teams all have the platform to grow with optimal support, and the ability to not only take our product far and wide but to ensure our culture is replicated in each location.
“It is not something that you can simply source outside help to achieve, it has to be homegrown.”
Brent adds that the Senior Management team have all been trained by a much loved and well-respected group of first-generation Managers throughout their time with the company, a group he says were strong about doing things the ‘right way’.
“They dug the trenches, they would often tell us that it has always been about treating people with respect, looking for a win-win solution and enjoying being part of this wonderfully dynamic industry,” Brent said.
“There is certainly a wealth of experience here for each of our teams to lean on as we continue to learn in each new region and grow as a company, in our own unique way.”
