EXPANDED RANGE FROM CATERAN

More turbochargers are now available for Mitsubishi vehicles from Cateran

Stricter vehicle emission standards, while aiming to reduce environmental impact, have inadvertently led to challenges in the longevity and performance of turbochargers.
The pursuit of lower emissions has pushed automakers to implement technologies such as exhaust gas recirculation (EGR).
Measures like this, designed to minimise pollutants, expose turbochargers to increased stress and heat.
The recirculation of exhaust gases, often containing particulate matter, can lead to accelerated wear and fouling of the turbocharger components.
Additionally, the high temperatures generated during combustion in engines complying with stringent emission norms can contribute to thermal stress on the turbocharger, potentially causing premature failure.
The need for turbochargers to operate efficiently under these demanding conditions has resulted in increased maintenance requirements and, in some cases, premature failure.
Demand from customers has driven Cateran – which explains it is an award-winning supplier of premium quality new replacement turbochargers, gasket kits, fastener kits, oil supply lines, intercooler hoses and intercoolers – to expand its range of turbochargers for Mitsubishi vehicle applications.
The two newly released turbochargers fit the Mitsubishi ASX 1.8l 1.8 DI-D (GA6W) and the Mitsubishi ASX 2.2l DI-D (GA8W) and Outlander 2.2l 2.2 DI-D (GF6W).
These two new turbochargers add to Cateran’s growing range of parts that it says covers the most popular turbo diesel 4×4, SUV and LCV applications, including Toyota Landcruiser, Hilux, Prado and HiAce, Nissan Patrol and Navara, Mitsubishi Pajero, Triton, Holden Rodeo, Colorado and Captiva, Mazda BT50, Ford Ranger and Transit, Isuzu D-Max, Hyundai iLoad and iMax, and Mercedes Sprinter and Vito.
Like all Cateran VNT turbochargers, Cateran says the MIT-116 and MIT-117 turbochargers are designed and built to fit exactly like the original parts they replace.
Every Cateran turbocharger is thoroughly quality checked and dynamically calibrated in Australia to the original specifications to match the original part performance and durability.
Cateran further explains that its turbochargers are new, not reconditioned, are balanced to over 150,000rpm and for added convenience, every Cateran turbocharger includes a complete set of gaskets and a start-up oil supply syringe.
Cateran offers what it describes as “an industry leading” three-year/100,000km warranty for peace of mind on all its produce and complimentary product and technical support via its national technical support hotline, 1300 176 071.  It states, “Cateran offers all this for less than the cost of an OEM part.”
These new turbochargers are all available from Repco, NAPA Auto Parts, Sparesbox and through the Burson Auto Parts network.
