FUCHS EXPANDS LOCAL WORKFORCE AMID INDUSTRY SHIFT
The lubricants industry is undergoing a significant transformation, says Fuchs

Fuchs Lubricants Australasia says it is proudly bucking “recent trends” in the lubrication industry by investing further in local production and Australian talent.
In contrast to recent offshoring trends seen across the sector, Fuchs says that in contrast to what it describes as recent offshoring trends across the sector, it is doubling down, and welcoming a wave of experienced Australian workers to its operations.
“At a time when others are pulling out, we’re investing in people, production, and capability here in Australia,” Fuchs Lubricants Regional Vice President Australasia, Wayne Hoiles, said.
“We’ve always believed in the strength of local expertise, and recent shifts in the market have only reinforced that belief. We’re growing because we see opportunity where others see obstacles.”
Fuchs has actively recruited this year across sales, operations, technical services, and engineering roles, many of which have been filled by highly skilled professionals affected by industry redundancies.
“This isn’t just about growth for Fuchs – it is about backing Australian manufacturing, building resilience in our supply chains, and capitalising on changes in the local landscape,” Wayne said.
“We’re proud to be manufacturing world-class lubricants right here in Australia, for Australian conditions, by Australian hands.”
Fuchs Lubricants Australasia is part of the global Fuchs Group, which is described as the world’s largest independent lubricant manufacturer, with a steadfast commitment to local partnerships, technical excellence, and long-term sustainability.
