JAX Tyres and Auto Bathurst set to join list of new franchisees in 2024

In what was a difficult year for the industry, the opening of five new franchise stores and the hiring of close to 400 staff nationwide in 2023 has seen JAX Tyres and Auto buck the trend, providing a boost for local economies, creating jobs, and supporting community confidence, with those seeds set to bear even more fruit in 2024.
New stores in Charmhaven (opened 3rd July), Craigieburn (opened 6th June), Delahey (opened 28th November), Merrylands (opened 6th June), and Queanbeyan (opened 3rd October) have strengthened JAX’s national footprint, while bringing the company’s award-winning approach to customer service to more people.
As a community-centric business, JAX says its contribution goes significantly beyond the tyre and car maintenance service it provides to customers, serving as a source of gainful employment across all types of roles, with new hires across 2023’s five new store openings including mechanics, tyre technicians, wheel aligners, and more.
JAX says its ability to attract and retain staff is something the company is particularly proud of.
“In a notoriously tight labour market, JAX has been able to bolster our team nationwide by embracing a diversity of skills that new recruits have been able to bring to the company,” JAX Tyres and Auto Executive Manager, People and Culture, Sharlyn Cavinta, said.
“Ambitious, adaptable new recruits have been supported by internal promotions, apprenticeship and trainee enrolments, giving more people than ever the chance to step up and show us what they can do.”
“For me, the key is creating the right working environment, so that for all our staff, it’s not just about getting the job done, it’s about wanting to help each other out and do what’s right for the customer,” JAX franchisee and owner of JAX Tyres and Auto Charmhaven, Glenn Hain, said of his experience finding and holding onto the right staff.
“Everyone on my team works with me, not for me, which is so important when it comes to keeping morale high and making sure that the talented people who come on board with us, always feel like they’re part of the JAX family.”
“It’s always a privilege to welcome new franchisees and their staff into the JAX family, and to know that we are giving something back to the communities we serve that goes beyond our commitment to peace of mind driving, is endlessly gratifying,” JAX Tyres and Auto Chief Executive Officer, Steve Grossrieder, said.
JAX Tyres and Auto Bathurst is set to be the newest franchise store to join the JAX family in 2024, with more information to follow shortly.
