REGIONAL DAYCO PLANT GETS BEHIND LOCAL RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

The Wagga Wagga Ronald McDonald House helped more than 6,000 families in 2022

One of the world’s leading manufacturers of engine components and drive systems for the automotive, heavy duty and industrial vehicle sectors, Dayco is proud to support Ronald McDonald House.
Alongside the company’s long-term support of Ronald McDonald House in Melbourne, the management and employees of Dayco Australia’s manufacturing plant in Wagga Wagga (NSW) have provided their own support for this most worthy of charitable facilities located in their regional area.
A total of 30 Dayco Wagga Wagga team members assembled a number of charity boxes, gathering non-perishable food, toys and assorted goods over the three-month period leading into Christmas.
On December 15, the Dayco team donated their jam-packed charity boxes to Ronald McDonald House in Wagga Wagga, while also taking a tour of this important facility.
Like all Ronald McDonald Houses across the country, this facility is made available for families with children undergoing care in Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Calvary Hospital.
The Wagga Wagga facility provides a comfortable place to stay along with caring and well-trained staff. Being in a regional area, some families are bringing their children long distances for highly specialised treatments and operations.
This makes these facilities even more important as they provide families with the peace of mind of knowing that they can be close to their children’s hospital during times of preparation, treatment and recovery.
According to Dayco Wagga Wagga Plant Manager, Paul Morphett, the entire Dayco team got behind this year’s Ronald McDonald House charity box run.
“We are a close-knit community here and we appreciate the great work that Ronald McDonald House does in supporting families. They have helped more than 6,000 families over the past year, which is a remarkable effort,” Paul said.
“All of us at Dayco are proud to support Ronald McDonald House locally just as our company has done in Melbourne for many years, they are essential to keeping families together during very difficult times.”
