WORKSHOPS BENEFIT WITH BILSTEIN

Bilstein says it covers more than 95 percent of the European aftermarket segment

Bilstein says it scores with an outstanding market share in terms of original equipment – from air suspension systems, electronic dampers and gas pressure shock absorbers to performance applications – for well-known European premium brands such as Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Jaguar and Land-Rover, which also results in what it describes as “unrivalled coverage” of more than 95 percent in the European aftermarket segment.
For workshops, Bilstein notes it is not just the high coverage that counts, but also the implemented technology and the quality – especially in the European premium segment.
It explains B4 OE replacement range corresponds 1:1 to the OE specifications and is developed and manufactured by the same minds and hands as the OE products – without compromise to quality.
Many Bilstein innovations, which are also used in series production, are patented, such as the DampMatic mechanical shock absorber adjustment, which can be found in some Mercedes-Benz models (e.g. W205 or W253).
Thus, the same damping characteristics as in series production can only be maintained if Bilstein B4 shock absorbers are used again for replacement.
As European vehicle types are often used for many years, Bilstein also offers a comprehensive range for older models, even if they have already achieved classic status.
On the other hand, Bilstein states its knowledge and development expertise pay off particularly in the further development of the product portfolio for current applications, because state-of-the-art technologies can be incorporated into the B4 OE replacement range with “unrivalled speed.”
Bilstein says using its spare parts therefore ensures the perfect driving experience, for which European brands in particular are renowned, is retained without restriction.
The company further notes its suspension expertise also pays off for those who want a little more. Thanks to extensive road tests on the world’s most difficult race track – the Nürburgring – and its own test programmes, Bilstein offers a comprehensive performance range with several product lines to optimally meet the various demands placed on a sports suspension. It says the same quality standards as for OE products also apply to the Bilstein Performance products.
For workshops dealing intensely with European vehicles, Bilstein says “there is hardly any alternative to Bilstein if they want to give their discerning customers the same driving experience as ‘ex works.’”
The Bilstein Academy offers e-training courses and a virtual training room to empower them to confidently handle the sometimes complex suspension technology of these vehicles.
In addition to providing direct information, Bilstein dealers also offer on-site product training to keep the knowledge of workshop teams up to date.
