ACL Bearing Company (Australia) Pty Ltd is proud to announce the extension of its long running partnership with Supercars team, Grove Racing.
Grove Racing will again run under the banner of Penrite Racing for season 2023 with a new driver pairing of David Reynolds and Matt Payne.
The Penrite Racing team has been busy during the offseason, bringing new driver Matt Payne into the Number 19 car and recruiting five-time Bathurst 1000 winner Garth Tander as a driver for the enduros and to also work closely with Matt throughout the season.
In addition, like the category, the team has embarked on a major program during the off season to build the Gen 3 vehicles which debuted at the Newcastle 500 earlier this month.
“What has been achieved by the team at Grove Racing since the December 2022 Adelaide round is remarkable,” ACL Bearing Company (Australia) General Manager, Chris Brooks, said.
“There is no doubt there have been many challenges, so to see the new cars and livery first at the launch and then on the track in Newcastle is testimony to the hard work of the team.
“We have been involved with the build-up for Gen3 and are very excited for what the category has in store this season.
“Anticipation was exceptionally high ahead of Newcastle, and now we can’t wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds.”
ACL has been involved with what is today known as Grove Racing for decades.
“We have had a relationship with the team dating back to the early 90s through the various iterations of team ownership and vehicle generations,” Chris said.
“The reach of Supercars is very significant, and we leverage our relationship with the Penrite Racing team through social media, customer ride day experiences, driver promotional activities and customer interface opportunities.
“The current introduction of Gen3, whilst there is no doubt it has been challenging for the team, promises exciting racing for the next generation of the category.
“The opening round at Newcastle was certainly the start of a new era and we love seeing the Penrite cars on track displaying the ACL brand – the Gen 3 livery looks amazing.”
