INTRODUCING SHELL’S MULTI-VEHICLE CVT FLUID

Shell has a new product for passenger cars with Continuous Variable Transmissions (CVT)

Every part of your vehicle has been meticulously engineered, so you want to use a lubricant that has been designed to ensure your equipment is well protected and works efficiently.
Over the past few decades, Shell has been developing, testing and refining automatic transmission fluids (ATF) to address the evolving needs of its customers.
Shell says these fluids are the product of its technical expertise and commitment to innovation, as well as partnerships with the manufacturers of automatic transmissions and automotive OEMs.
Shell explains that the Shell Spirax range of passenger car, continuous variable transmission fluids has been developed “to enable vehicle manufacturers and end consumers to select the oil that will deliver optimum value to their operations and the lowest operating costs through wear protection, long oil life and efficiency.”
Using this product, Shell says end consumers will have peace of mind because they are using a reliable product and proven technology in their continuous variable transmissions.
The advanced formulation reportedly helps to lower running temperatures, which also leads to extended oil drain intervals, helping to optimise the maintenance scheduling.
Shell Spirax S5 CVT X is a premium-performance, synthetic technology CVT fluid. It uses unique formulation technology and is suitable for use in different vehicle manufacturers’ chain and push-belt type CVTs.
Its unique formulation and technology allows it to meet specifications of several large OEMs, including Honda, Nissan, Jeep, Toyota, Suzuki, Subaru, MB, Volkswagen, Volvo and others.
