Genuine Equipment (GQ) units are sourced OEM or from factories that produce OEM products. Frequently, it is the same product without a badge.

“These products are packaged as GQ to reflect the high quality of the product.” 
New Aftermarket units are sourced from quality manufacturers from the Asia Pacific region. Many aftermarket units sourced are fitted with OE regulators. JAS Oceania states OE regulators communicate correctly with the vehicle’s ECU, reducing the likelihood of experiencing ECU faults. Plus, it says alternators for heavy-duty applications are equipped with quality bearings. 
JAS also fits OE specified pulleys to particular units in its program range to alleviate ones that can fail prematurely.
Remanufactured units are fitted with high-quality new part replacement. Alternators have new regulators, rectifiers, and bearings.
