ULTIMA SHOCK ABSORBERS FROM AAP

Australian Automotive Parts says it has you covered for all your 4×4 suspension upgrade needs

The main function of a shock absorber is to control the rebound and compression of the suspension springs.
In addition to improving the ride comfort of a vehicle, shock absorbers also help to improve its stability and handling by controlling the movement of the suspension.
This is particularly important when asking the vehicle to do extracurricular activities such as towing.
Australian Automotive Parts (AAP) is a distributor of the highly commended Ultima Suspension.

Ultima Shock Absorbers
AAP states that the Ultima shock absorber is one of the most sought after shock absorbers, explaining that the Ultima 4×4 range and line-up is “the most comprehensive and up to date brand in Australia when it comes to vehicle coverage.”
Ultima Shock absorbers have been trialed and tested in Australia and are subject to ongoing testing and development.
Exported to over 100 countries worldwide and used in the harshest environments, the Ultima 4×4 range includes four different bore sizes along with a full range of steering dampeners. The lineup includes:
• 36 Series – a robust standard replacement shock absorber similar to OE in size and specifications.
• 40 Series – a Heavy Duty replacement alternative to original OE shock providing better suspension travel, better impact absorption and improved ride quality. Most 40 Heavy Duty Series Ultima 4×4 shocks are fitted with stone guards (unless clearance issues will not allow) providing ultimate protection.
• 36S Series – for later model vehicles with Coil Sprung Suspension, Ultima Gas Struts are all Gas sealed and come with both bump stops and protection boots ensuring your replacement Ultima strut not only meets and exceeds Original Equipment performance but will also last longer. All possible accessories are included in the kit, making the job not only quick and easy, but also adding much value to the purchaser.
• 46 Series – an extreme big bore shock available in some Toyota Landcruiser and Nissan Patrol applications.

All Ultima shocks are gas charged and use specific grades of oil designed to minimise heat buildup, allowing ultimate performance in all conditions even at extreme stroke rate.
They also all use OE NOK oil seals and are dyno tested during production to ensure each unit meets specific valving specifications set after many years of development and testing. Any unit that does not meet these specifications after assembly is then scrapped to ensure every shock and strut sold will meet customer expectations.
AAP says like all Ultima product ranges, AAP strives to be first to market with late model applications such as the GWM Cannon shocks now available and the PY Ranger shocks arriving in November. Ultima also offers big bore gas charged OE alternatives for the Toyota Landcruiser and 78/79 series V8 Landcruiser.
Also available from AAP is Ultima’s range of Steering Dampeners, providing both direct OE replacements with features such as ball joints on both ends for ease of fitment.
AAP is a wholly owned Australian based company with the current staff amassing collectively well over 350 years of automotive industry experience.

Backed by a wealth of industry experience, and an enthusiasm to match, he took on the “national identities” and remains the driving force of the company today.
A leading importer and wholesaler of automotive spare parts, AAP has warehouse distribution facilities in four states across Australia.
