CENTURY BATTERIES EXTENDS ARSF PARTNERSHIP
Combining expertise in vehicle safety and road safety advocacy to help reduce road trauma and promote safer driving practices across Australia.
Century Batteries has extended its partnership with the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF), strengthening a collaboration which combines expertise in vehicle safety and road safety advocacy to help reduce road trauma and promote safer driving practices across Australia.
Following ARSF’s role as the official Charity Partner of the 2025 Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440, the partnership will expand significantly in 2026 as Century Batteries’ supports several of ARSF’s key national awareness campaigns including Fatality Free Friday, Rural Road Safety Month, Work Related Road Safety Month, and Christmas road safety initiatives .
Century Batteries Marketing Manager – Automotive, Andrew Bottoms, said the partnership reflects Century Batteries’ long-standing commitment to road safety, community wellbeing, and supporting Australian motorists.
“At Century Batteries, we understand that road safety starts long before someone gets behind the wheel,” Andrew said.
“Safe driving behaviours and safe, well-maintained vehicles go hand-in-hand, which is why partnering with the Australian Road Safety Foundation is such a natural fit.
“As a trusted supplier to motorists across Australia, we recognise we have a role to play in helping educate drivers about the important role vehicle maintenance and preparation, and how these simple actions can contribute to safer journeys for everyone on the road.”
Through the partnership, Century Batteries and ARSF will work together to deliver educational content highlighting the connection between vehicle maintenance and road safety, including the critical role battery health plays in powering modern vehicle safety systems such as airbags, emergency braking technology, telematics, and hazard lighting.
The organisations will also collaborate on a range of social media, video, and public awareness initiatives designed to encourage motorists to undertake regular vehicle checks, particularly before long-distance travel, holiday periods, and seasonal driving conditions.
“Many drivers don’t realise that today’s batteries power much more than just starting an engine,” Andrew said.
“Modern safety systems rely on a range of electrical systems to function correctly, making regular battery maintenance not only important for reliability, but also an important part of overall vehicle safety.
“By supporting ARSF’s awareness campaigns, we are helping deliver practical information that can empower Australians to make safer choices every time they get on the road.”
The partnership will also extend to major motorsport and automotive events, including the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440, providing opportunities to engage directly with drivers, trade customers, and vehicle enthusiasts through road safety education and awareness initiatives.
“Century Batteries shares our commitment to creating safer roads and reducing the impact of road trauma on Australian families and communities,” Australian Road Safety Foundation General Manager, Donna Caley, said.
“Together, we can continue to reach a broad audience of motorists with important road safety messages while highlighting the role that vehicle maintenance and preparation play in reducing risk on our roads.
“This extended partnership allows us to connect with motorists through trusted industry channels and continue building awareness around simple actions that can contribute to safer journeys.”
