CENTURY YUASA WELCOMES NEW NATIONAL TRAINING MANAGER

Paul Linehan has been appointed to the position

Century Yuasa’s new National Training Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Paul Linehan, is no stranger to the battery industry with nearly 10 years under his belt with the leading battery manufacturer.
Paul has been developing and refining his skills over many years working in the rail and automotive sectors.
London born and bred, Paul’s first role was with London Underground as an apprentice electro mechanical fitter and held various roles within London Underground for the next 11 years including carrying out re fit and refurbishment of the battery locomotive fleet.
Paul emigrated to Australia in 2005 and held several roles in the rail and automotive sectors in Australia before securing the position as Business Development Manager for regional NSW at Century Yuasa in 2013.
While at Century Yuasa Paul has continued to develop his skills completing a Cert IV in training and assessment and Cert IV in leadership and management.
“I’ve always had a passion for training and thrive on seeing the development and growth in the Automotive industry. As soon as the position became available, I knew it was the right move for me,” Paul said.
Century Yuasa recognises the importance of training and development in the ever-changing automotive industry and invests significantly to ensure its customers stay at the forefront of the latest technological advancements.
“The industry has seen huge changes over the last decade, with consumer demand moving more towards stop/start, hybrid, and even fully-electric vehicles much more quickly than expected,” Century Yuasa General Manager, Stu Stanners, said.
“These new technologies mean that vehicles are also becoming progressively more complicated, especially when you factor in the additional electrical components required for modern safety features like radar cruise control, blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking and self-parking systems.
“Paul has big shoes to fill with the retirement of his predecessor John Kilby this month however we know he will be fantastic in the role and will continue to drive Century Yuasa’s training program forward.
