DBA APPOINTS NEW GM

Phillip Joseph has been appointed as Disc Brakes Australia’s new General Manager

Disc Brakes Australia (DBA) wishes to announce that Phillip Joseph has been appointed to the role of General Manager. Phillip’s promotion will now see him lead all departments within DBA.
Phillip has gained extensive experience in management positions over the last six and half years with DBA.
He started his career with DBA while the business was under his family’s ownership, building an initial understanding of DBA through working at the coalface in roles including manufacturing, warehousing, and sales.
Subsequently, Phillip focused on building his career in finance and worked with industry leading organisations across Financial Advisory, Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity.
Given Phillip’s appreciation for DBA and enthusiasm to contribute his expertise, he returned to the business in 2017 and led the business through its acquisition by ASX-listed GUD Holdings Limited (ASX:GUD).
In his role as General Manager – Operations, Phillip has spent the last five years further developing his knowledge of not only DBA but also the wider automotive aftermarket.
“DBA has experienced a period of record growth, both domestically and internationally,” Phillip said.
“Our focus is now on servicing the market even better through working closer than ever with our direct customers, workshops and end users, ongoing re-investment in the business, and continuing to maintain our innovation and technical leadership position in the market.
“I look forward to leading DBA through this next exciting phase.”
Phillip takes over the leadership of DBA from Executive General Manager, Gideon Segal, who steps back to focus on leading GUD’s Undercar Group, consisting of DBA and Australian Clutch Services (ACS).
“I congratulate Phillip on his appointment. He brings passion and energy for the continued development of DBA and together with the team will drive the growth aspired for the business.” Gideon said.
DBA would like to wholeheartedly thank Gideon for his years of leadership.
